Dr. Bud Pierce Reacts to New Poll Showing Tight Race with Brown
Salem, OR (July 7, 2016) – The governor’s race between Republican gubernatorial candidate Bud Pierce and Gov. Kate Brown is tight according to a new poll released Thursday by the Portland Tribune. Pierce says he is not surprised that this is already turning into a close race.
“Oregonians are hungry for real leadership, and they’re not getting that from Kate Brown, which is indicative in this poll” said Pierce.
The poll also shows that independent and unaffiliated voters are leaning toward Pierce.
“It’s not surprising that these voters are leaning in my direction right now. I have fresh, innovative ideas for the future of our state, and as voters learn more about my plans for Oregon’s future, I think even more Oregonians will begin supporting my campaign,” said Pierce.
This poll shows Kate Brown with a 7-point lead. It also shows 23% of voters are still undecided. The margin of error is 4%.
Pierce is excited for a competitive race this fall, and to begin debating Governor Kate Brown in September.
